KITCHEN ISSUES

With a national chef shortage, and wider industry issues facing hospitality in this post “pandemi-brexit” world we are sadly unable to operate our kitchen. Sorry to let you down but keep your eyes peeled for pop up streetfood traders and our HorseBoxPizza Truck making an appearance!

The Jolly Postboys opened in Autumn 2016 with the sole mission to provide good, honest, locally sourced food and drink to the fine folks of East Oxford. With the intention to bring back the traditional community pub, our commitment to hospitality and guest experience is second to none.

Whether you're after a swift pint in our beer garden, fancy a relaxing mid-week dinner or you're looking to treat the whole family, we've got you covered. Our kitchen is open for dinner Wednesday to Saturday when we offer the full range of a la carte menu options from our reputable fresh food kitchen. Sundays for us are all about heart warming roast dinners and great vibes.

We are true apostles of the great British pub and the role it plays within a community. Here we celebrate our guests, new and regulars alike. So come on in, kick back and let us make you feel at home. Ad Tavernum!

KITCHEN ISSUES

Due to the nationwide Chef Shortage we are currently unable to open our kitchen. Rest assured we are working our hardest to solve this problem as nothing makes us happier than filling peoples tummies.

Gastro is a swear word to us. We are a pub that do great food, not a restaurant with a bar. Our food is simple, honest and delicious.

With a seasonal mix of mains, pub classics, cheeky snacks and starters. We serve 1/2 portions of most of our dishes for kids(or for those with small appetites).

PROPER DRINKS

The Jolly Postboys is a true independent, free-house. We We only serve British beer through our 10 taps with regular guest ales, and some of the most sought after “craft beers” around. With a Gin list like no other, and soft drinks by made the family run Samuelsons of Witney.

From summer fetes and beer festivals, to quizes and murder mysteries and of course our infamous monthly Rocksteady Roast we run events all year round.
